37-2 in odd finish

I bought a 37-2 that has an armaloy type finish applied. Did S&W ever offer this finish. Never seen one, but it looks new.

Yes, that is the "brushed nickel" that S&W used in the early 90s. I have a 37-2 and a 38-2 just like that.

Like Toroflow1 I have a Mod 38-? with the same finish.
I could be wrong but I think it's electroless nickel

Well, I learned something today. Glad its a factory finish. They must not have made many of these.

Same here, Charlie. I likely would have tried to negotiate a lower price due to the "non-factory" finish.

I have to say that finish is really, really nice. S&W should have made more guns with that finish. Nice looking gun.
