Just got my 3913 back from the 'smith, with pre-MIM spur hammer (and trigger) installed. Looks good, feels good, next stop: the range.

Picked up the parts on Gunbroker for $26, 5906 barrel, slide stop, hammer, trigger and internal frame parts.

Thanks for the info sir, I am going to do the same with mine after I pick it up from the shop I bought it from. I also want to figure out a way to get a magazine with a steel floorplate that sits totally flat at the bottom of the grip. I think a 7 rd mag since it would be a slightly shorter body might be the place to start from.

What does the 5906 barrel and slide stop do for you?

Fits my 3904 and 3906. Back-up barrel for when they require micro-stamping of barrels, firing pins, etc.

Never hurts to have a spare.

LDP4570: part of the reason for the parts switch was to go pre-MIM (although I've had no problems with the MIM parts on the original 3913 or my 4563). Just an esthetic thing.

Hey, Wilshire, haven't seen any 7-rd magazines around lately. I have 7-8 with the normal floorplate and just ONE 7-rounder. When I carry in the back pocket of my jeans, the 7-rd fits nice.

Despite all the 3913 mags I have, my spare mag in the pocket in almost all cases is a current 9-rounder. If I have to go to a second mag, the extra round might come in handy!
