Was lucky to find a Roper Supply 4" 14-6 for sale and bought it. A Holy Grail Gun, the owner actually had 4 of them. Actually bought 2 and sold the unfired one. Added a 17-6 and a 16-4 to the group, both hard to find. Here are some pictures of them, the Roper has a taller sight set up and a different target crown being it was made in the Performance Center. It was accurized, not sure what that means. Only 125-130 made. The only run of 4" full lug guns in the 14-5, 14-6 & 14-7 models, all were 6". It is an accurate gun, enjoy shooting it. It's the one with the Hogue wood grips.

These will be on display at the Last NE Ohio Bunch this Saturday, Larry

Color me green… with envy! There can't be all that many complete sets like that out there. I assume you are going to shoot them a lot! They qualify as the "fun guns" of the adjustable sighted K frame series. Congratulations.
Froggie

Very nice Trifecta
I have a few four inch 17-6's in both barrel styles and a six inch 14-6 but have never stumbled on a 4" full underlug for sale.
My buddy has a 4" Model 16 but I don't collect 32 caliber guns.

Someday would like to add a full underlug 4" Model 14 to go with my four inch 14-2 Hanen and factory four inch 14-3.

Thanks for all the comments. It's a nice set of revolvers. I shoot the 17-6 somewhat regular, the 16-4 occasionally and the 14-6 not much. I like the balance of the 4" full lug. The 14-6 has a great double action trigger from the PC, the foreman of the PC made all the Ropers. The 16-4 was reamed to .327 by Andy Horvath. Put a set of Alamont Ropers with nice wood on the 14-6 for Saturday's display.

Thanks Smithnut for the link, you had a few of the 14-6 Ropers at one time.

Only one more day till the NE Ohio Bunch, should be fun. Hope there is a good turnout for the last one and great food as usual. Larry

Congrats! That's the one I am still looking for. I have the 4" 17-6 and 16-4, but missing the 14-6

Jebus35745, I've never held a K frame with original Ropers but have the impression they are plump enough to be hand filling. OTOH the set of Altamont Ropers I bought for my recreated Model 16-3 feels awfully skinny or narrow side to side. I was really kinda disappointed for shooting purposes, but the do look pretty!
Froggie

CH4, to create a fake one for the time being, a 6" could be cut to 4". I have a 14-7 which is hard to find and is a tack driver. I know it has collector value but often considered having it cut to 5" by Andy Horvath. A 5" full lug that's accurate would be SUPER COOL!! Have a love affair with 5" barrel S&W 's.

Froggie, never held a set of real Ropers. I have 2 sets of fake ones by Keith Brown which are partially coke shaped. Keith will be at the NE Ohio Bunch tomorrow, what a nice person.

Once I found the Roper 4", the hunt for the .22 & .32 was fun. Didn't want to pay the premium for em so I waited till I found them reasonably priced. Gotta be married to auction sites, Larry

if you get a chance to talk with Keith tomorrow, please ask him about the semi-Coke bottle shape and rather that's authentic or whether they were originally skinny.
Thanks,
Froggie

I love 5" N frames!

If I were going to lop off a chunk of a 6" 14-7 barrel, I'd go to 3" and RB it :D

CH4, found a 16-4 4" barrel on the forum, a K-22 cyl and bought a model 15 at a gun show. Visited Andy Horvath again and had him build a 3" K in .327. I did the round butt downstairs with a file. Made sure the barrel had Horvath Custom on it. Back to Andy for a bead blast and hot blue. Actually is a good shooter but I download the .327. Have defensive ammo when carrying it. It's mainly a winter gun, K's are hard to hide.

Then I asked 44 Maggot to make a set of grips from some kind of spalted wood. Then there was a carved holster for a 4" K on the forum, what the heck they look great together. Have a 3" IWB holster also, Larry

That's sweet! Great minds think alike.

I'll have to give Andy a call. I have a 6.5" 610-1 that I want "Jovino'd" at 3". Magnaport will do it to, but are backlogged 1.5* years for that job.

Up for one more look before this fades away. Very proud of this trio of revolvers.

CH4, did you get ahold of Andy? Cutting a stainless barrel would be cheaper, no refinishing. Larry

No I haven't. I am currently in Manila. Just got in from Thailand at 3 am. I'll try mid December when I am back for the holidays.
Thanks :)

Congrats Jebus, I had the opposite problem for years. I started out with the 14-6 4", years ago , then got a 16-4, and finally added the 17-6 4". Had a non full lug for years but just couldnt find a lugged model that wasnt sky high. Picked one up some time back. The 4"14 is my favorite shooting gun , like you said very accurate. Way to go..

Someone blessed us over the years with a 14-6 4". Hunted down the other two over time. It seemed almost like a trifecta of sorts. Anyone having all three is living in high cotton. Thanks for the pictures. Been asked if it was still around and would it be for sale(14) several times. Being Model 14 collectors, this one is difficult to let go.
Congratulations to all that have them. Great guns, especially that 14. Our box is stamped RB, although it is a SB.
