I came across a 4" nickel model,15-3, owner says never been shot. In the factory original box. What is a fair price for it. He's asking $1000, OBO. I would think $750, would be on the high side. Give me your opinion, with what I have told you. Thanks!

I recently paid 700 for a NIB 15-3 blue. I have been looking at them on the auction site. I just say a used cream puff go for 900, plus tax, plus shipping.. That is 1000 dollars.

I think the seller can get 1000 for NIB nickel. In today's market, I would say you will be lucky at 900. If you get it for 750, you stole it, and I doubt that you will get it for that

I hit the jackpot

Got a barely used 15-4 4" N stamped Masterpiece for $120 plus a Cerakote LCP in trade. My FFL had a guy wanting a .380 bad and he had this from an estate sale. Guy was retired police and did a brief stint as a security guard. I think it stayed in his holster as everything looked new out the box. Trigger, hammer, cylinder release and grips all sharp.

My guy knows I have a weakness for K Frames and I didn't even think twice. I think all told I got this for $400. Only a tiny blemish on the cylinder where the holster rubbed against it. Put in a Wolff spring kit and some Pachmayrs and it has become my home defense gun. Trigger is a joy and the bigger grip helps the wife with her arthritis hold it. Just have to sharpie the front ramp as the nickel has too much glare. Great gun.

I agree, a grand seems to be a little on the high side. But there's not much of a leap from $800 to $1000, especially as guns are sold and the group of available guns gets smaller. Paying a thousand now might look foolish, but in 6 months to a year, you just may have a $1200 gun in your hands. Then who looks "foolish"?
I have 2 nickel 2" Model 15s.... you've got me wondering if I ought to be talking to the homeowner's insurance man about increasing my coverage.

NIB nickel? At a grand, it would probably be mine. Haven't seen one in ages.
I'd even give my lgs 750 for his nice used, blue 15-3, but I won't even make such as offer, as he thinks it's a $1295 gun.

I'd think wouldn't take long to find a buyer at $1,000 if it's truly NIB.
