While visiting a gun shop I see a 4013 TSW with some official logo and the letters "CSP" stamped below it. The owner was busy with other customers and i didn't bother to ask what the letters meant. This trade-in (?) looked real clean sitting in the case but i didn't wait around to inspect it any closer. The price tag says $699, comes with case and 4 mags. Is this worth the price?...and which state would the "C" most likely pertain to??
Thanks for any info. Google didn't do **** for me this time.

I have two 4013TSW's, one a shooter grade with the rail removed, & one practically NIB that never had a rail. That price seems high to me, especially if its a LEO trade in. For a nice example with box & four mags I would expect to be around $500. Its a great carry gun if you like 40's, & I do.

I would guess Colorado State Patrol as well. As far as price, that seems high to me. However, if the gun is in excellent or LNIB condition then that price is not out of line. Excellent condition police guns always seem to bring a premium. Heck, the few melonite WVSP 4566's that have made it to market have fetched near custom 1911 prices.

Highly sought after and rarer LEO trade in's bring high money, but everyday LEO trade in's bring less money in my area. I got a very good condition LEO trade in 4566 for $375, that was well below what a normal 4566 would go for and what I've seen them go for on GB.

Anyway, price is way too high. $500 would be a solid number.

Life is short buy the gun. Offer him $500 out the door, all he can say is no.

That money grubber wouldn't drop $200 off of a $3K gun. But i still stop to see what's in his shop whenever i hit the gun range next door. I'll see if it's still there after the next range trip in a couple of weeks.

This is an interesting thread. I don't know a whole lot about the CSP but if I remember right the uniformed troopers carried the 4006 and I think they switched to M&Ps a couple of years back.

I don't know if CSP has a plainclothes division but I assume that's who would have been carrying that particular gun

thanks for the replies everyone. I figured it might be too high....this shop is well known for high priced firearms.
Yep. Way too high. Somewhere around $425 (+/-) would be right with two magazines and no box. Original box usually means a better cared for gun and adds value in and of itself. Two extra magazines in free America adds at least $50.00 or more. The markings may or may not add value (up to you). To me, they would reduce value unless the gun was never issued/carried.

But in the end, condition of a used gun is everything. I learned that lesson the hard way. :o
