.41 Mag round

Back in my .41 mag days, I handloaded Speer 210 gr jacketed SWCs that were very effective. I don't recall the actual load, WW296 I think, but bullet performance on a running caribou was spectacular. I've always felt the .41 Mag was the most versatile, all-purpose round out there.
 
The 250gr Cast Core is a Federal load. It uses the LBT wide flat nose bullet.

Randy Garrett told me that if he didn't load his ammo, he'd use the Federal Cast Core in .44 Mag. That's certainly saying something, coming from someone as knowledgeable about handgun hunting ammunition as Randy.

I use Garrett in my .44 but Cast Core for backup, and in .41 and .357, cause Randy doesn't load those.
