I found some federal blue box 41mag 210gr JHP ammo for $24.95 per box of 20. At the checlout it ran $39.99 and when i got to my car I thought my $229 bill was way over priced. I looked at the $39.99 per box my receipt and went back in and got it for $24.99. Make sure you check your receipt.

When i got home i just ordered some .410gr JHP bullets so i can reload. I have new 41mag brass.

I found one more new S&W M58 in 41mag in nickel for $599. I already have one but at this price????

I also reload but i wanted more brass and some more JHP's to carry. Nothing wrong with stocking up were i can.

My dealer had these brand new S&W M58 on sale for $599 or $699 at the time in nickel finish. He has one left for $599 which i may go back and grab it.

I have a lee progressive press with a 41mag setup. But when i seen the federal ammo for just $24 a box i grabbed some. I just received 300rds of 41mag starline brass too.

BTW; My LGS had 9mm luger ammo and 223 remington ammo but it was a 2 box limit. There was no limit on the 41mag ammo so i grabbed it.

I was fortunate last month to aquire a high condition .41 mag with darker Cocobolo target stocks. It had been the personal house gun taken home by a SD State Trooper. The dealer was asking 650 and I purchased it for 600 plus tax. The last one that I saw was ten years ago for 550 and I always regreted not getting that one.
In preparation for this day, I had found three hundred Keith 220 gr. SWCs. Eight grains of Unique or seven of 231 will be my first lead reloads to test. A very fast reload of a 170 gr JHP failed to exit a nice buck several years back. He bolted before the shot and took the round in the liver. ....too far back. Still got him with my reliable Magnaport six inch Blackhawk, but next time will use a 220 at a slower speed to let the bullet expand and not explode.

Was in a shop yesterday in Connecticut, Hoffman's Gun Center, and they has LOTS of .41 Magnum. Remington 210s, CorBon Hunter, Federal 210 JHPs and some others....they had more .41s than most everything else...

Humpback...was that a 170 Sierra? I run that same bullet pretty fast and have never had them blow up...they are a very tough bullet.

If you are going to reload, it might not be a bad idea to get a bullet mould and consider casting your own bullets . Last year Lyman stopped making any moulds for the 41 mag. I'm searching for one or two of thier older designs now and not having much luck . How long before the other companies stop producing them ?
