The 431 is scandium, correct? My question is: Why isn't it two-tone like the 360pd?

431 has alum. alloy frame, steel bbl. insert and cyl. Nice little pocket gun.

Yes they are still around. I bought one 3 months ago, new, after I asked my local dealer to check his network and he found one for me within a week, did the FFL transfer and shipping to his shop. I really like it. Light, accurate within its intended range, low recoil and 6 shots of 32 Mag is nothing to sneeze at. With the new Buff. Bore ammo its a little pocket rocket. My dealer told that while the 431/432 was "discontinued" a few years ago that S&W would run a batch now and then and so there are still some out there new.

I customized it to suit her.

Can't post a picture from where I am presently, but if you go on to Gunbroker.com and under revolvers enter 431 in the search box, and you will see one for sale there. Exactly like mine.
The 331's and 431's, 432's are nice little pocket guns.
