432 UC Anyone having good luck

I have had my 632UC for about 6 months, with about 500 rounds through it with no problems. Great trigger!

A bit off the subject, but there sems to be some misunderstanding regarding shooting .32ARC with these. Most articles I have read say "no." But, in recent "Gun Digest," the author of the article states that the 432/632 UC will shoot .32 ARC. Can someone please clear this up for me?

Only if you clear up what you mean by ".32 ARC" first!
If you mean some variant of the 6mm ARC, then no way!
If perchance you might mean the venerable .32 ACP/7,65mm pistol round, then, maybe. Clear it up, that is....

The LGS told me that I could shoot .32 ACP through the 432UC. Since S&W and Lipsey's don't mention on the product description that this is possible or safe, I am not about to find out.

You *can* shoot .32ACP in most .32 revolvers, as it is a semi-rimmed cartridge.

There are two potential issues: the .32 ACP’s rim thickness and rim diameter are smaller. This could result in failures to fire due to headspace issues and it is possible for the extractor to slip past the rim.

IMHO this is one of those “do it only if you need to” situations.

While I have not put a ton of rounds through my 432UC it hasn't shown any problems yet. The only thing of any concern is that it wants to "stick" just a little when swinging out the cylinder. The ejector rod seems tight, and I just need to check it out a little more before getting too worried about it.

My 432UC went back to S&W twice for light strike misfires and still didn’t work. I replaced the hammer spring with a standard weight and it has been perfect so far. I’ll be a little more confident that it’s fixed with more range time but I’m thinking that it’s good to go now. I’m a big fan of anything in 32 caliber and I’m now very happy with this revolver.

Now if only S&W will make a K frame in 327 magnum!

I should be able to pick mine up on Friday 11/8. Alot of heavy rain here this week and my LGS is next to a river that is currently rising. Might not pick this one up for a few days!

Mine has light strikes even with an extended firing pin and factory hammer spring. I am extremely disappointed as otherwise like the gun, but I cannot carry it like this.

Mine should arrive next week. We'll see what shows up.

Sorry WaldoGuns, that sucks. Good news is that SW can easily fix it for you once you send it in.

Hopefully I get mine back soon!
