432UC marks on spent cases

After a few hours at the range with my new 432UC pitched the spent cases in the tumbler. After a few hours I sifted them and noticed unusual marks on them. Compared to the same brand brass (Starline) fired through my M30 and Single Six, I'm puzzled. Rounds from the 432UC have dark rings around them. As a comparison I included brass fired and polished from my other revolvers.

Any insight as to what is causing this? I'm thinking there's something wonky with the cylinder. I just sent the 432UC back to S&W because of light primer strikes and FTF, lots of that.

I really like the revolver and want it as an EDC. But these issues are causing me to wonder...

Did you fire more than one brand of ammo? It does not appear to me to be a potential case head separation ……honestly, I don’t know what might have caused that1
