43c question

I started an earlier thread on the 63 as an understudy for my 340PD.

It was suggested that a 43c might be a better choice. I was concerned about durability. I might easily shoot 150 to 200 rounds a week through the firearm. That's 7,500 to 10,000 rounds a year.

The 43c has an aluminum cylinder. Will it stand up to that much use and those many cleanings?

Opinions please.

If I was going to shoot it that much, I would go with an all steel gun... JMO

I have a recent 43 C and once had a 317 3 inch gun. Same gun except 3 inch and hammer etc. Sold it to my brother law whos to small boys and himself have fired it a bunch. No problems other than finish wear and S&W would refinish it or repair it. It does have a lifetime warranty.I see no problems for the 43C.

I think so too. I ordered a model 63. It will arrive on Wednesday.

I want to match the grips on the 63 with the grips on my current 340 PD. Does anyone know what those grips are and where I can order them?
