.44 Cast Performance bullets on clearance

I use CP bullets in my 480 Ruger and 454 Casull.
They are good bullets.

Pricey even at "Clearance" pricing . Hornady 240 grain XTP's are only $22.99 per hundred .

Most gas checked bullets with the gas check installed are expensive. Much more economical to get the gas checked bullets without the gas checks installed and install the gas checks yourself.

Really cheap is cast your own bullets. Cheap fish are also found at the lake in your boat.

EDIT: Cheap reloaded ammo will cost about $400 for the first shot down the barrel -- press, dies, scale, caliper, components. The equipment will last a life time, at least the press and dies will. That first cheap bullet, if you get free lead -- wheel weights or scrap bullets from the berm or backstop, will cost about $200. That is a Lee pot, mold, liquid bullet lube, and sizer die.

If you like casting bullets, you will spend real money for better equipment. My Saeco 45-70 bullet mold was $90 four years ago, but at $15 per hundred for purchased cast bullets that mold was paid for in less than a year. That Sharp's replica is a thumper! :D

Xtreme Plated 240gr's are only $12.35 per hundred. Processed lead is only $6.85 per hundred 240gr increments. I guess if you don't see any distinction in any of those, all preformed bullets are pricey.

That bullet is the most accurate one I have ever fired out of my 7.5" Redhawk.
I use 18-19 grains of 2400 depending on the brand of brass.
Many of us don't cast and want a bullet sized a little larger than the jacketed numbers.
Seeing as I might shoot 50-100 of those a year, the cost is irrelevant.
You get a deer in your sights, ditto :)

I use a number of the CP bullets. Beartooth has a similar excellent product.

FYI, the price dropped a further $10, so they are about 23.5 cents/round.

wonder if this isn't CP about to transition to coated, or if midway is about to source a coated replacement.
little bit of a difference between a sale and a clearance.

Cast Performance no longer lists the 260gr bullet. It might just be this product has been dropped.

Or maybe they were just sitting on the shelf too long? They are back to $180, and show as "available".
