I currently use the following:
185 gr LSWC, 3.9 gr Bullseye, Federal 150 primer, seated so just a little shoulder shows above the case mouth. Cycles a standard 16# spring. Excellent accuracy at both 25 and 50 yards.
230 gr FMJ, 5.1 gr W231, Federal 150 primer, 1.26 AOL. Good accuracy at 25 yards, but a little lacking at 50 yards.
230 gr FMJ, 5.6 gr W231, Federal 150 primer, 1.26 AOL. Good accuracy at both 25 and 50 yards.
I've also experimented with Universal and Unique:
230 gr FMJ, 6.0 gr Universal, Federal 150 primer, 1.26 AOL
230 gr FMJ, 6.0 gr Unique, Federal 150 primer, 1.26 AOL
Accuracy of both was similar to my 5.6 gr W231 load. Universal is the cleanest of everything I've tried, and it meters well.
You could probably go +/- .3 gr on the FMJ loads and still get good accuracy, you would need a ransom rest to tell the difference.
My 185 gr LSWC load was given to me by a local bullseye shooter, who did testing with a ransom rest. Since I can't improve on his load, I just used it.
One of my most accurate 25 yard loads:
230 gr FMJ, 5.1 gr Green Dot, WLP, 1.26 AOL. Unfortunately, Green Dot meters horribly, so I quit using it.
