For you young pups , the above will rase a ?.
For the older shooters, it will bring back memories.
I have a case held back and wish to load some.
Do any have the specs, heaver loadings would be ok too.
The original was hot hit hard and accurate.
It also ran in most any 1911 we could find.
I think a 25/625 would eat this like candy!
Groo want more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please clarify the subject a little. You're obviously referring to a .45acp load. Was this a commercial CCI/Speer Blazer round? Was it the old 185 gr. SWC?

I've used lot's of Berry's and Xtreme with several powders and 10's of thousands have run in every 1911 I've shot them from.

Use proper loading procedures and you should get what you want.

When I bought ammo i used a lot of Blazer Brass 45 ACP, I do not recall it being anything special?

The GI standard load for 100 years is 4.8 to 5.0 grains Bullseye and with a 230 gr FMJ bullet.

Checked the box
The round is the Blazer 45acp combat match
A 200gr swc tmj bullet loaded to 900fps or so in alu cases.
We shot it in IPSC when major was 175,000
Does this help?

Well if it is Blazer aluminum it is not re-loadable.

Blazer Brass was OK

So check some manuals and try and duplicate the velocity with the same style bullet in brass cases if that is what you are searching for?

Actually the current alum cases are boxer primer and reloadable. Tried some light target loads with no issues

Well technically they can be reloaded but should not.

Let us know when they split, crack or just fail in some way. Good luck with that

CCI Blazer Ammunition combines a non-reloadable aluminum case with high value and high performance. It is the perfect practice and training ammunition. This ammunition is new production and non-corrosive.

For round ball, my S&W 1911 really liked Berry's 230gr. plated with 6.0gr of Unique--about as cheap, accurate and reliable as Without using my own cast bullets.

You'll get a few loadings out of them, but you'll find Al fatigues much faster than brass. You probably already know this.

I have been using rainier 200swc bullets over 7.2gr of cfe pistol for right about 1000 fps. Sub 2" from a rest at 25 yds

A 200 grain bullet at 900 fps isn't a particularly hot load. If you want to duplicate it just purchase some plated SWC's of the same weight and use a mid range charge of either Unique or Accurate #5.

BTW, if you want a distinctly hot load try a 185 grain Hornady XTP with 10.0 grains of Accurate #5, those barn burners hit 1070 fps from a 5 inch 1911. American Eagle's 230 range load is listed at 905 fps and compared to the 800 fps cruisers I load up for basic fun shooting they feel distinctly warm.
