Put an Apex hard sear and a USB unit in my 45 M&PC today. Took it to the range. Wow what a difference. Just a hint of creep in the trigger but a crisp release at 4 to 4.5 lbs.

This is my only auto and will fully familiarize myself with the trigger before carrying SD.

Did shoot another 100+ rounds through the now "tuned" M&P today and the best group was 6 rounds at 20 yds in an Isolesles stance. (I'M an old revolver shooter) 2.4". Blazer 230gr ball ammo.

The gun also likes 200gr LSWCs at 900fps.

This quickly becoming my go to gun.....

Congrats! The Apex Duty/Carry kit made a huge difference in my M&P9C...

If you do find the 4.5# trigger a bit light for carry Apex sells a replacement for the stock spring that beefs it up a pound or so... That kit also includes a stronger spring for the sear reset knob (or whatever it is called *grin*) that improves the reset a bit.

Cheers,
Tim

Thanks for the kind comments.

sOnspark: Thanks for the info on the beefed up spring. After shooting 1911s for years the trigger is about as light as I like it now. If wear and use take it down I will get the stronger spring kit.

What I'm impressed with is how much easier it is to shoot this gun well with these two modifications.

I found the sear and 48 spring combo a little to light for my comfort (in a Manual safety less carry gun. The duty spring and sear was the ticket for me. My 9c is also becoming my go to gun.

Dave: How much smaller is the 9C physically than the 45C. I've got a notion to purchase a 9C for backup.
