Seems like a VERY specific BOLO request. I'm intrigued.
Is there a back story that you would be able to share?
Most likely not the same one, but Collectors Firearms had one as described, (probably not the same serial number,) 3-5 yrs ago. I just tried pulling it up but lost patience. Usually it's easy to see their sold offerings.

OK Jim remember you asked for it so here you go,
I shot this particular Smith & Wesson model 4506 in the Chevy Trucks Sportsman's Team Challenge from Markham Park Target Range in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
I believe that it was 1991 it's been awhile…….
The 4506 belong to a friend of mine, who was known as one of the top authorities on the Smith & Wesson Model, 629 44 magnum
Wayne Hazelrigg who has unfortunately passed on.
Wayne had Eddie Brown build this particular 4506 into a compensated Race gun,
And when he made the offer for me to be able to shoot it in competition at the Chevrolet sports team challenge, I eagerly excepted it.
He said to be sure and show it to one of our mutual friends that was a Smith and Wesson Rep
And then leave the gun with him after the competition.
I was on the practice range,
When the Smith & Wesson Rep came and asked me to bring that gun and my shooting gear to another side range, and that was when I was introduced to machine gun Tommy Campbell and Smith & Wesson's historian Roy Jinks
I had met Mr. Jinks on several other occasions, at PASA shooting complex, in Barry, Illinois during masters international handgun championships
I was asked to do an exhibition shoot for them with this gun, and then knowing what I was there for so I laid it all out to the best of my ability!!!
It turned out to be one of the highlights of my shooting sports career!
I have wondered what happened to that gun and last night I was going through some of Wayne's personal papers where he talks about the history of the 629 and ran a crossed some paperwork that leads me to believe that this 4506 wound up in the hands of Ray Brazille's from Oklahoma he has since passed on.
I am hoping that someone out there might know where it is or have it in their possession. It's basically just sentimental history to me.
