i have been trying to figure out if my 4516 is close enough in size and width to any other guns, 3rd generation smiths or not, that i can buy a holster made for a different gun that will still fit my 4516 well. i ask because i can't seem to find a decent hybrid holster for it, and most places i've looked don't make a holster for my model. so far i have bought all my holsters from foxxholsters, i think they're well made, and at an excellent price. unfortunately, the only smith models they have that come close for their holsters are the 4006, 4506, and a few from the 59 series. mainly i have been trying to figure out if the 4516 and 4006/4506 are close enough in size that my 4516 will fit in the holster, or perhaps if there is a specific model sig, or glock that would give me the same result.

thanks guys for any and all input.

IIRC, I read in a thread here that holsters made for a Sig 229 fit a 4516 well. Maybe someone else can confirm, or just do an advanced search for "4516 holster" in this forum.

I found a Mitch Rosen ARG for my 457 that also fits all of my compact 45s and single stack compact 40s built on the 45 frame.

Also have a Milt Sparks Summer Special for the 457 where the same applies as well as fitting my 909 due to being a bit longer vertically.

My 4516-2 wears a Gould & Goodrich 803-696 And the 6906 wears the same holster. See if you can fine one, Great leather.

MR835 IS GONE

If you want a hybrid, any 4506 holster will fit it assuming the kydex is not covering the muzzle end. My White Hat Basemax fits both my 4506 and my 4516 perfectly.

I picked up a Bianchi model 77 pancake-style that's marked for the Sig P229 at a really good price from a police distributor. My Model 457 fits it like it was made for a Smith.
