457 Night Sights

I've had a 457 since they were about10 minutes old. It came with the steel guide rod and steel three dot sights. Bought it kinda on a whim.

It's been in the safe for about 15+ years, I shot it very little. In reading some of the info on the CS45 I got curious about it and brought it out. Forgot what a sweet shooter it is. Back when it was new I had Ned Christensen do a trigger job on it. Anyway....

I want to carry it but I want night sights for it. I cannot find any. I called S&W Customer service and Mark told me they were not available. Seems the Value Line had wider slots cut or something. He said they had plastic sights though mine has metal.

Anyone come up with Night Sights for the 457?

Now I need to decide how much I really want em. Kinda pricy.

I agree. I have a 457S that I carry frequently but I am not sure that the night sights add that much to the utility.

I like to buy 3rd Gens that have worn out Trijicon sights on them so that I can just have them relamped for about $55.

My understanding is that Meps can't be relamped.
