Just purchased a 45C.... do not see many posts about them either they are perfect or a piece of junk.
Did I make a mistake buying one?

Good pistol

I've had mine almost a year and I really enjoy it. I think you will do so with yours.

If you weren't sure about making the purchase, then why did you? I own 3 M&P's-FS 9, 40 and 45; in addition to the SD9VE and SD40VE. This past Sat. I picked up a Shield 40. From 400+ to about 1,300 rounds, I haven't had a malfunction of any kind yet. A Shield 9, FS M&P 22 and all the compacts are on my list to buy.

Visit enough Forums and read enough posts/threads and you'll find those who have an issue, sometimes NOT the gun's fault! Take YOUR gun out and shoot it and see how it works for YOU!

FYI, I'm on the Ruger Forum also; take a look at some of the issues there; just as many problems/issues as any other Forum you care to look at. And yeah, I own Rugers too :-)

There haven't been many lately, but the 45c comes up pretty regularly on this forum with lots of love and few if any problems, which may be why you aren't finding much if you are searching thread titles.

I don't own one, but they seem a handy size. Personally, if I was going to add an M&P 45 to my collection, it would be the full size since I'm married to my Shield as my "big" carry gun. But I certainly don't think you've made a mistake.

Mine is about a year old and shoot it often. It has never had a failure of any kind and it's my daily carry gun in the winter...carry my Ruger LCs-Pro in the summer because it's easier to conceal with summer clothes. I just ordered a Crimson Trace Laserguard with a green laser from Midway that's on sale right now. I also put a set of Tru-glo fiber optic sights on it. I carry it in a IWB Crossbreed holster...so comfortable that I can carry it all day. Have fun with yours.

Hard to find them for sale used locally, (maybe it's just because I'm looking for one), but I know a lot of folks own them. So I'm taking that as folks must like them. I really can't wait to add one to my line up

As the guy said above, take your gun out and see how it works for you. I think you will be pleased. The M&P45s seem to be pretty accurate guns, in general. I notice my compact model is a bit harder to shoot well, but mine has a particularly gritty trigger. My full size .45 has a much better trigger action. Both of them "run like trucks." I think my compact model is just as accurate but I can't prove it. It really needs some trigger work. :(

This is good to hear. I plan on picking one up in the morning!

I've owned a 45c for about 2 years. They're perfect! G19 dimensioned, which to many is a perfect ccw sized firearm.
As an HD gun I swap the 8 round mag for the full size mag with an x-grip extension.
Don't know why S&W doesn't market the 45c more, or at all, a very under the radar, under rated gun.
You'll never get rid of it.

45c is a great gun! Hard to find sometimes and super expensive (at least in Cali Bay Area). You will love it.

I shoot the 45C better than any pistol I own. DeathF is correct. " It is the hidden gem of all M&P's"

GLOCK22 (Don't know why I have this gun)
686 3" (I shoot this just as good)
Colt Gold Cup (Have not shot this one much, shoots nicely)

If I only had to have one M&P 45, it would be the 45C. You can easily turn a 45C into a full size with an Xgrip adapter w/ 10 round mag and full size slide, or just use the Xgrip and mag for the intermediate 45. No complaints with any of my M&P 45s, full size or compacts.

I quite often wish that I had purchased the 45c as my home defense/ccw/woods pistol instead of the 40c I ended up getting.

I've heard nothing but good things about the 45c. :D

either they are perfect or a piece of junk.
Darn close to perfect for me.
I carried a stainless officers ACP for 21 years. I've carried a 45c for 2 years and truly love it. It's half the weight of the officers and has less recoil. The night sights top it off.
The ONLY disappointment is that Crimson Trace doesn't make a laser grip (yet?).
I added an Apex trigger and thumb safety on mine.

Absolutely love my 45c. I traded a police trade-in Glock 32 for mine. It came with three mags and Apex trigger job. I carry it daily in a Galco V-Hawk iwb.
