Found out by chance, that Walmart has the Stout Stuff 50 Cal. metal ammo cans on clearance for $8.97 each; Reg. price $12.83.

Since most of us use these for ammo storage (factory and reloads) I figured I'd post this here. I picked up 2 locally and another 4 from my former hometown Walmart. These are also listed on their website at the same price, and if you order 4, you can get free shipping to your door ($35.00 min. order).

Just an FYI, as I have no connection with/to Walmart, except to do my shopping there. Hope this helps, if you need ammo storage.

And Happy New Year!! :D

Went to the local WM today for groceries. Of course I go through sporting goods, well, just because lol. They had another 6 ammo cans on the shelf-still marked @ $8.97. Since I already have 6, I left them for someone else-for now anyway. Already have 5 of my 6 filled and stored in a closet. Very handy to have :-)

I just ordered 5 cans online and they have free shipping to your door on orders of $35 and over. This is a good deal and those cans are always handy too.

Ammo Can Man is the place to go for real US surplus ammo cans, I usually buy four at a time, the Grade 2 .50 cans are good to go, 4 shipped will be $51.32.

I just picked up two short 40mm cans to consolidate some ammo and free up a few .50 cans.

These are a bit more expensive then Walmart's Chinese copies but at least you are getting the real United States military deal and not some cheap commercial copy.

On moving day, you will have too many ammo cans. The SAW ammo cans (fat 50 cal) are really heavy with filled with semi-auto cast lead bullet ammo. I learned that ONE is enough, it hasn't moved from the same spot on my garage floor in 3 years.

I always save empty kitty treat plastic containers with snap-on lids for loose handgun ammo storage. You can easily get up to 200 rounds, maybe even more, into one depending upon the caliber, and as they are rectangular they stack efficiently. Good for empty brass also. With two cats, we generate at least two empty containers per month. Not difficult to get around 75 rounds of larger rifle ammo in one either. But you need to stack those neatly.

I like to store my loaded ammo in ammo cans and my brass in plastic containers. The ammo cans are secure when going to the range and the clear plastic containers make identifying the contents easy.
