5906 Ambi Safety Lever Missing: Should I worry?

Great

A 5906 is a 3rd gen model.

A square trigger guard was used on the early production 3rd gen pistols.

Square trigger guards generally date 3rd gen pistols to the late 1980s, but you never know with S&W.

I think you can still call or email them with your serial number and they can tell you when it shipped.

John

Thanks a lot, take care.

Everything arrived perfectly. Spent a bit of time this am on the installation. Perfect!

Except I tore the bag taking if off the care and, of course, those two little itty-bitty parts dropped onto the rug under my desk. Normally, anything that hits the rug goes mysteriously into the void, never to be found again. I was despondent.

But, those are charmed parts! Found 'em in seconds and the world was good again.

I can't thank you enough; and I think your generosity is pretty much a testimony to the membership of this forum. Again, many thanks.

Glad it worked out. Kinda wish I'd listened to my urge while setting aside the parts, to send you an extra plunger & spring. Laziness on my part. I'm glad it all turned out well. :)
