5906 Availability and Pricing?

Hey all!

Was just wondering, does anyone have an idea as to what the current state/viability of getting my hands on a decent shape 5906? How about mags?

I vaguely recall seeing them around in the past as a LE trade in here and there, but wasn't sure what prices they were going for these days. While I'm not terribly picky, it would be nice if I could stumble across on that's in fairly good condition, but this isn't necessarily for a collection, so I wouldn't shy away from cosmetic dings.

They seemed to be around $350-$450 on gunbroker, although I'm hoping to spot one at a LGS or a gun show.

Any advice/info is much appreciated, cheers!

I was offered one by my neighbor over the summer, it was her late father's but she had no use for it. It was stored in the box and never fired. She offered it to me for $300.

Midway USA had S&W magazines for $30.00 earlier in the summer.

Not too shabby! Looking around on gunbroker it seems like beat up, worn 5906's that are LE trade ins are going for well over $300, and a never fired in the box one would be upwards of $400- $500.
