The other day a forum member replied to my post " All you need now is a 3". Funny, there is a 3" S&W 610 on Gunbroker right now for $2100.00 starting, and buy it now for $2399.00. Wow, I do have sticker shock! I am perfectly content with the few I have. Curious to see if it sells or not.

I have one and if it sells for that I may have to reconsider keeping it !!

I just sold his little brother, 646, on Gunbroker

I think that was me that said that. That might be enough for me to consider selling mine. NOT!

I want to see if he gets any bids. No pics and vague description make an item a hard sale.

Pics are up now. Appears to be a Lew Horton. Don't know who Chuck Lubbe was but don't think that would drive up the value that much.

Chuck was one of the forum originals from a decade ago and quite a collector of very, very fine Smiths, and we were here together when my old username was still in effect. A really great guy and Smith enthusiast. I have two of his former revolvers. Some of the old forum salts will certainly remember him too. I think when the board changed program formats his contributions were lost in the shuffle - shame, really.

Does Chuck being the former owner justify doubling the value of a 610? Not at all, and I know for a fact that Chuck would not appreciate the use of his name to make such a gross profit on a Smith.

Rest in peace old friend!

One of the 3" 610 revolver sold for well in excess of $2000 last summer.

It was unfired since leaving the factory and complete in the original box.

I was almost going to put my unfired 610 up for sale when I saw that.

My problem is keeping them unfired. They scream at me at night, begging me to use, handle, & fire them. I have fired everyone of my 610 and have enjoyed doing so.
