I was somewhat annoyed to see they went for another run of the 610. This will no doubt lower the value of my 610-3, 3 and 7/8" with the unfluted cylinder. I would have liked to have seen them do an L-frame version similar to the 69. I have no opinion on that hollowed out firing pin. My original solid pin chipped at the tip. I replaced it with an Apex pin, and never had another issue. For folks new to the 610 moon clips............you do not need a tool to load and unload. Easily done with your fingers.
I don't care if my 6 1/2" 610 has gone down in Auction site value now that the revolvers are available again. I did not buy my 610 to sell it and I have no intention of selling it during my lifetime.I was somewhat annoyed to see they went for another run of the 610. What is the height of your front sight on that? I think my older -3 might need a red ramp.Stopped by the LGS, where I bought my 4" at, to pick-up some primers & powder. Told them I had just come from the range & that I was really happy with how the 610 shot.
They then proceeded to tell me they just got a 6-1/2" bbl. M610-3 in & showed it to me. It's lock-up was good but the B-C looked a little wide. With it's longer barrel it was noticeably heavier, of course. For hunting or long range shooting it'd be great.
I'm still happy with the 4" for me though.
