625 trigger in 629?

Hello everyone. I have a brand new 629 that has the wide target trigger. I need a thinner trigger.

I see 625 triggers for sale at affordable prices. Will that trigger work in a 629?

Your 629 will have the radiused studs. You'll need to determine if the trigger from the 625 has the radius. If it doesn't, it won't fit.

You can always narrow the trigger you already have.

In my world, K,L and N frame triggers were all the same. What changed and when? I would think that any MIM trigger that was for sale would fit any K,L and N frame made in the last 20 years.

Thanks Muley Gil. Can I grind on a MIM trigger without ruinning it?

You should be able to grind, and file on a MIM trigger and it will only lose the sandblast type of finish. Be sure to polish out with fine emery paper on the finish and it will take on a nice shiny appearance and will be smooth,
