Does anyone know the part number for the correct size grip pin? Believe it or not, I was shooting this (new to me) revolver and noticed the grip was loose. Removed the grip and found that the grip pin had been reduced to shards. I Removed the shards, cleaned the hole, and tried to replace the pin with part number 30900A from Numrich. The pin was oversized. To make an embarrassing story short, me and the vice got the pin in 1/3 of the way and bent! The pin will not go in or come out now and I'm not comfortable forcing it. I'm going to order another and let a gunsmith remove my mistake and install new. I just want to make sure to order the correct pin this time. Does anyone know a good gunsmith near Asheville, NC. My old gunsmith retired. Thanks Ya'll.

In my defense, I was thinking about shooting more than smithing!

This is not the answer you are looking for but, you might try calling S&W. Maybe you'll get lucky and they will just send you one.
Also, I've read on here you can make one out of the smooth end of the correct size drill bit.
One other thought, if you find a gunsmith he may have one.
Good luck.
