Was surfing GB a few years ago and came upon this one. It was mis-advertised as a typical 38 Model 64. Near the end of the auction, seller realized the ommission, but could only edit the description, not the title. I was excited to grab it for a reasonable price. Does not appear as though it ever saw much service, or even holstered.

Most of the .357 versions of the Model 64-1 were made for the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. This one shipped to the Lansing Department of Public Safety (Michigan). I'm not an LEO collector, but it turns out this one shipped to a city just an hour's drive from my home! The letter states this was shipped with checkered walnut targets, but it came to me with smooth targets. Most of the other ones I've seen shipped with magnas. Shown here with a variety of stocks.

I'm partial to these stocks.:cool::D

Congrats on picking up what is a difficult revolver for a .357 magnum collector to bring home.

Thanks for sharing,
