646 round butt 40

this may sound like a dumb question but??????
i have a 646 in 40 S&W with moon clips.
smith rubber grips. how do you remover the grips? before you ask, the back strap is open, nothing covering the frame, and there are no screws holding the grip on that i can find. the grip is not that big, i should be able to find a screw.
any help would be appretiated.

The 646 came with the Hogue Bantam grips. They came with a plastic wedge that is pushed into the bottom between the grip and frame to spred the grip. It can then be slipped off the frame.

Joe, if you don't want those grips when you take them off....bring them out to the next CCCCP match....and we can talk!

thanks for the reply. now that you mention it i remember seeing something like that on a table and asking what it was for. i will look in the case and see if it is there. just takeing them off to make it work. someone lightened the trigger too much and it will only fire every 3rd or 4th time. thanks again.
