Just wondering what will need to be done, I have a local smith it will go to for repair. While shooting this weekend I had a cylinder with a sticky shell and the cylinder slid backwards instead of ejecting the shells. I pushed it back where it should be and held it there and then ejected the shells. Now the cylinder can be slid on and off the yolk. Just wondering in advance what might need replaced. Jim.

You will need to replace the frame lug. It is on the left and prevents the cylinder from sliding off of the yoke. You can get the part from Numrich or S&W. Good luck. Bruce

I dropped it off today. Looking at it some former owner appears to have filed on the frame lug, I can't imagine what they were trying to do. It is in better hands now. Jim.
