I recently purchased a nice 2 1/2" 66-1. I really like these snubbie Combat Magnums! I also have a LNIB 19-3 snubbie. The 66-1 shows its age a little, so I've decided to make this an occasional carry gun. I bought a pair of Ahrends round butt combat boot stocks from Terri ("gripseller" on eBay and GB). I am so pleased with the way these look and feel, that I wanted to share some pictures.

The first picture is my 66-1 with factory stocks. The rest are some pics I took today. Let me know what you think!

I like it! I've got a 66 2.5 no dash. It was my EDC. It's semi retired now. Enjoy yours!

Very very nice. I carry my 66 snubbie every chance I get (about 3 days out of seven) and I compete with it at the local IDPA matches. In fact I just came back from a competition today. That little gun does it job everytime. Now I just need for it operator to stop screwing up and I will have a great match.

Very nice combo! Looks great! Have them same Ahrends on my 66-2 and love em. I did sand em a bit for a perfect fit and take off the sharp edges. Couple coats of poly and you wouldn't know I touched em. When I don't carry my Commander I'll strap on the 66 and a couple speed loaders for them hot summer days when you need max concealment. Still feel extremely comfortable with it's capabilities. I carry 135 gr. Short Barrel Speer Gold Dot .38+p's in it. Did carry 158 gr. GDHP's in .357 but the .38's are much more comfortable to shoot and have good ballistics. Also makes it easier to hang onto them boot grips.

Congrats on your Combat Masterpiece! Hope you never have to use it, but if you do your job it'll definately do it's.

Thanks for all the positive replies! I actually prefer the original stocks, and these will be stored to stay with the gun. The Ahrends are the "working" stocks. But it doesn't hurt that they look good as well!!

I bought some silver S&W medallions on eBay. I am trying to decide if I want to install them on the Ahrends. Thoughts?

As for me, I would not put the medallions on the Ahrends. I like the look of the Ahrends just the way they are, but I have been accused of having bad taste, so take my advice with a grain of salt.

I respect your opinion! I will take it under advisement!! Thanks for the input!!

One more vote for not putting the S&W medallions on Ahrends...to me that would be kinda like putting a Ford hood ornament on a Chevy...not wrong but just not RIGHT!
