686-4 6 shot pre lock.........

He has it listed for 750

Just for reference, I recently sold a very similar 66 snubbie. I listed it for $750 and it got snatched up quick. So if you can get it for $750 yourself... Grab it! It's a great gun.

And the gentleman is including some ammo and a holster. I love the fact it’s a pre-lock but I’m possibly going to back out and get the 627-5……. I am confused

I know it’s a 66-4 now thanks. The gentleman had a 686 and a model 66. It’s coming with some ammo as well. I’m kind of bummed about it not being a 686-4……

Is a the 66-4 still a good piece to carry ?
I really do appreciate all the feedback. I really am on the fence now……

To state the obvious, a 66 snub will carry easier than the 627. It's a great carry option, if you're OK w/ 6 rounds. Both are pretty awesome guns, but if it were me... I'd snag the 66 w/ the goodies at that price. Great deal on a great gun they don't make (pre-lock) anymore. The 627-5 will be relatively easy to acquire in the future if you gotta scratch that itch. Good news is, both are great guns, so I highly doubt you'd be unhappy regardless of your decision. Good luck!

The Model 66 is a great 6-shot, 357 Magnum carry revolver. The K-frame 357's were made because law enforcement officers found the N-frame 357's to be big and heavy, so S&W started making K-frames in 357 Magnum. The K-frame is the smallest 6-shot 357 Magnum you will find.

I am torn between getting the 627 Performance Center 8 shot and a 686-4 six shot pre lock..... Its in great shape! The extra two rounds would be nice...... However I hate the Hilary hole......

Would you go with the 686-4 for $775 or the 627-5 PC 8 shot for $1050........

I am on the clock!

100% go with the 686-4. Not even close.
