686 Plus Mountain Gun found

The 586 MG is an "L" frame revolver and any 586/686 holster should fit.
The "K" frame holster will have a much smaller cylinder diameter.
"N" frame holsters should fit OK but be on the large side.

AS for grips they are definately K/L frame RB or RB to SB adapter grips.
If are handy and have some basic tools you can make a "filler" for the gap out of wood.
If the wood color doesnt match it can be painted to match the frame color instead.

Congratulations! I walked into one several years ago and, although I don't shoot it much, would not want to get rid of it. It is very well-balanced and has a great trigger. I just don't like the finger grooves on the Hogue grips.

Hi, I have one and would never sell it. Mine is one of a kind with a long story behind that statement. It is an L frame and will take any holster made for the L frame. The cylinder is wider than a K frame. I carry mine in a Simply Rugged pancake made for it and love it. I have a 3" CS-1 686 and a 3" 66-1 and find myself carrying the Mountain Gun more often than any other when in the woods. I carry heavy loads in it.
