Compass shares are participating in it, it is time to come fix it. They also move up to the problem.

6-28-13, thread by Green Frog, 686: To 'M' or not to 'M' (in Revolvers '80 to Present)

for description of the issue with these guns.

I found it thanks! I do remember something about this. I took it to a gunshop that was a S&W repair place and was told not to worry about it if it didn't jam by now it would be fine, or maybe he just didn't want to deal with it. Thanks again.

Wow! I was enjoying the interchange in Spanglish (I learned a little Espanol 20-30 years ago, pero no mas... demasiado mal!) I was pleased to see that a thread I started proved useful once again to somebody.

Saludos a Goberto from the Rana Verde in Virginia! :D

Perdoname senor, mi espanol es muy mal after so many years of not using it so this post will be in English. I have a 686 no dash my father bought new in July 1981. It had the cylinder binding problem with various .357 mag ammo, was sent back to S&W, had the modification done to it, has the "M" stamping and has been trouble free ever since.

As has been stated since you're using the .38spl ammo you shouldn't have any problems.
