6946 new to me

Found it, bought it and brought it home today. My biggest question is what does N.P.D. 2153 mean. It's on the barrel, slide and frame. I'll clean it, shoot it and report back later (this week maybe).

Nice pickup. I have one of these "NPD" 6946 pistols and have shot it quite a bit in the last few months. Mine looks rough but the action is top notch and barrel is basically brand new. Enjoy it, Congrats

I bought NPD 2158 at Gander Mountain in Novi MI this weekend. Got a deal cause they're going out of business. Count myself lucky.
Sales rep said they were Newark Police Dept trade ins.
I'll clean and shoot mine in the next couple of weeks and report.
