I have a chance to pick up a 845 with box and docs that has less than 100 rounds through it for less than a grand. I have a 952 and a 945 and like them very much. From everthing I hear the 845 is a great gun. So, what do you guy's think????? I just got back from our monthly shoot. The seller of the 845 was there but stated he now needed to get $450.00 more for the gun. I told him to keep it. By the way I had the $900.00 cash he asked me to bring.

GO FOR IT!!!
I've got one,it's nice. Also have a 52-2 and a 952-1,it's in that class of quality. Doesn't seem to be fickle about ammo, doesn't require special mags, all the 8rd .45 S&W mags I've picked up used work fine.
May get in trouble for saying this,a few months back made a trip to S&W in Springfield. After a tour of the plant went to the shooting center and rented a 945,brought my 845 along and shot the two side by side. Concluded I didn't need a 945 at this point. Not to say down the line if one falls in my lap...
Good Luck, Kevin

Without question I would buy it, that is unless there is something noticeably wrong with the pistol. I missed out on them when they were new and you could order one still, can't just order one anymore!

Could someone post a pic of an 845? I have never seen one and I can't find one on the net.

That is just too much money, I picked this one up for 1000$ a 4-5yrs ago, nearly unfired. If ya notice the number its MPC0004. Yep, fourth one off the line.

Pic for ya Bavastar1

Thanks guy's, I sure wanted that gun and would have gone $1000.00 but $1350.00???????? He can shove it. I could not say much at the time as this person is a board member at our range.

Live and learn.

leave him your info.

tell him you only have 1G to spend.

tell him to call you if it does not sell at that price.

$1350 has to be NIB with all factory equip and mag(s)

$1000 is a solid price for used and if its missing all the factory stuff (box, papers, extra mags, etc) then its starts to drop.

good luck

I will say this, the 845 is well worth $1350 but if you keep your eyes open you'll find one for less than a grand. Grinder might have the actual production figures but I always heard 500 first run and 300 "Model of 1998" with the forward cocking serations made.

I just posted my 845 in the Guns for Sale classifieds. Thought you'd like a heads-up.

Thanks for the e-mails and heads up guys. I hade to have a MRI and a bunch of other things this week so it looks as if a 845 is off my radar for now. Just as soon as my money is in better shape "The hunt will be on again". I will not give up without a fight. Best Regards Ragman.
