Hi,
I took my wife's 915 apart to clean and lube. Got the slide off with no problems, and after cleaning and lubing, tried to install slide, but its stuck on frame. can't move it more than 1/16 ". it's on frame

Try pulling downward on the drawbar (in the exposed grip frame cutout) on each side of the frame and at the same time, push the slide forward. You may have to tap the rear of the slide lightly with a non-marring" object, like a screwdriver handle, etc.

I want to think that the recoil spring guide rod got dislodged and it is what is holding you up, but I cannot be sure from the pictures. I agree with tapping it from the rear of the slide with a screwdriver handle and moving the slide forward off the frame -- then carefully repositioning the guide rod and trying again.

Got it Thanks

Hi,
Took your advice, held down on the drawbar from the rear, and tapped with a 1x4" Pine Board and it dislodged. Thank you very much, I really appreciate it.
