A little attitude with S&W customer service

What really makes me suspicious is the seller 'finding' a mag after half a year and knowing it was your mag. Of the hundreds of guns they sell, they determined this is your mag. I think word got back to them or they saw this post or something. Is it possible that they found a mag and remembered you called once 6 months ago and said you were missing one? I suppose it is.

I 100% agree with you on this. Suspicious to say the least. 6 months later and it's magically found? Did they not clean at all? It fell in with all of the other mags just found laying arbitrarily? Hmmm.... Right...

No matter what I would be upset the seller didn't take care of his customer. It's a $25 mag and he was selling you $2000 worth of guns in one sale. And you are a regular customer.
You should have been immediately taken care of at the counter and they could work out what happened later.
Very true. That's simply good business. Odds the OP is trying to scam the store for one mag after purchasing 5 firearms is slim to none. They should have realized this and just made the problem right.

And look what happened. It was their fault all along. If they had made it right 6 months ago, they would have found the missing mag and just put it back in their inventory. But a great customer would have been satisfied 6 months ago. It would be hard for me as the customer not to say "I told you I wasn't lying" when I went to pick up the mag.

Someone that works there may have read the OP... I don't know and will never know. But they did call and "found" it. So all ends well. S&W told me to keep the one they sent me after I called to return it. So yes now I am enjoying 3 mags.

You are to be commended for your honesty/integrity. Thumbs-up to you.
