A little twist to Chief38's not understanding people

After working at an airport, factories and warehouses all my life, I have frequency hearing loss and tinnitus.
Sometimes, when somebody's talking to me, they hit frequencies that I don't hear and I can't understand a thing they're saying.
My wife "translates" for me.
Seems like it's usually younger people that hit my unhearable frequencies.

How do hearing aid users cope with wind? Mine work OK with being inside, house or car, but outside wind noise drives me crazy.

Mine don't have an off switch so I remove the batteries. I'm afraid to put them in my pocket because they might get damaged. Larry

Wife came in today from working in a new flowerbed.
I hear...."I've got bubbles in my pants".

Standing there with a dumb look on my face she finally asked.
Did ya hear what I said.?

I heard you I just don't know how or why you would
have bubbles in your pants.

Now she had the befuddled look....

I said....."I'm having trouble with ants.."
