A member of my sportsman's club, An older gentleman. Brought some revolvers that he wanted to sell to the last meeting.
Unfortunately for my wallet one of them was Model 617-3. It is only a 6 shot, but the way i see it. That will save some ammo when my Grandson comes over.
Also the fact that it is Pre-lock meant that I needed it.
I'd already been thinking about getting one since I'm fairly new to revolvers and I need more trigger time. Since it's a .22 that means I can get more reps and the fact that it is a K frame means it handles like my .357's.
I'm not sure if I got a good deal on it or not. He said that he only put a few hundred rounds through it. Looking at the lack of wear and how tight it is in all the right ways. I believe him. I paid him $650 cash for it and I'm happy with the deal.
The second pic is with my Model 686 plus and my Model 66. The 617 is in the middle.
