I just took inventory and counted 21 handguns, mostly S&W K&N frames.
That is my high water mark.
I'm still a shooter, though I've accumulated a bunch. That's mostly just because I like to try different things, and I finally have the wherewithal to buy a new gun without having to sell or trade one to do so. Plus I find selling a plain PITA these days.
I only have about four collectibles, all inherited from my late father. One I'll probably sell, one I'm debating about whether to shoot or sell, and two I'll never let go of.
One of those is his Remington Rand 1911A1 he had ever since I can remember.
The other is an unfired 24-3 he was given at retirement. It's safe because I already have one to shoot. Even though I'll probably never shoot it, I'm simply not letting a Model 24 get away.
There's probably about 12-15 long guns.
Dang, I need a new safe!
