Anyone else watch these videos?
I've been watching them on Youtube lately. I have found them interesting and educational. He brings up a lot of points to think about if you get caught in a bad situation and how not using your noggin can get you killed.
Then there's the good ones that show how some people have managed to use their head and come out alive.

Yep! I recently started watching him and enjoy his videos and information.

One of my daughters turned me onto his You Tube channel. She took one of his classes or attended one of his seminars in recent months.

For those of us who are not computer savvy, could you please post a link to them?

Along similar lines, I've found the road rage videos from Youtube channel "Fury Road" to be very thought provoking...especially for us concealed carriers. If you take the time to watch all of that series, you will see some crazy situations...even a few where guns (or improvised clubbing weapons) are brandished after a common close-call driving mistake made by someone. It got me thinking..."what do you do if you are boxed in at a traffic light and some psycho gets out of their vehicle and makes a hostile approach?" The most concerning aspect is that many of the "victims" ie. the non-aggressors were just normal folk who were perhaps driving too slow (aka speed limit) for the guy behind them...or else they pulled out and honestly didn't see the car coming. It happens to us all. EDIT: THERE IS LANGUAGE, BUT THERE IS ALSO A SIGN-IN REQUIREMENT, BE FORWARNED. [ame]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mHaokJ3-lXY[/ame]

If you Bing Active Self Protection they'll come right up.
So the guy states that he's not compute savvy and you offer a computer lingo answer?

Here, let me help:

That's a link to the Active Self Protection channel on youtube. Lots of good stuff there.

Being able to perform a rudimentary "Google Search" is something even the least sophisticated computer/internet user should have conquered or at least be able to learn on their own.

Agreed, but how do you "Bing" something?

As time goes by, we often change the meaning of words or names. Take for example email. It stands for electronic mail. It's a noun, but we use it as a verb, i.e. the phrase, "Send me an email," has become, "Email me." It's wrong, but common.

The same has happened with Google. Google is a name, not an action. Yet it's quite common to hear, "Just Google it." I understand that Bing is also a search engine, but it hasn't reached the status of Google. Would you say, "Yahoo that" or "Yandex it" to anyone?

Again, I understand what you're saying hittman77, but not everyone finds the world of the internet as easy as you and I. I used to get frustrated at those that didn't do their own searching. Then I realized that some really don't get it. So, it's just as easy for me to post the link as it is to make a comment telling them to search for it. This leaves me with three options; tell them to do it themselves, post the link or just make no comment whatsoever. I take the third option a lot, but if I'm going to that site anyway, I'll just post the link.

Were you a hall monitor in jr. high?
I noticed the OP never asked how to Bing a subject. :D:D yeah, yeah, he did. Bless your heart.

Some of the most enjoyable road rage/Russian driver vids include clouds of pepper gas and Russian wives leading blinded husbands back to their cars.

In the US, apparently shouting "you're on camera and will be on u-tube" is seen as a deterrent . Doesn't work, but makes for good evidence after the shooting.

The last guy stomping the police explorer needed some Wood Shampoo.

I have found some of the Active Self Protection videos to be very thought provoking. We owe John some thanks for doing the great job he does. I think that most people who read posts here understand the need to aware of one's surroundings. One thing that I have concluded after watching these videos is that model 649 I can access quickly from a disadvantaged position is worth a lot.

Thank you for wasting my evening.

These videos and the police pursuit ones (where the bad guys pull someone out of their car and hijack it) annoy me. LOCK YOUR DOORS AND ROLL UP YOUR WINDOWS PEOPLE!!!
