For 40+ years I carried a M36, M60 and M60-7 for EDC. They were reliable, well made and small enough that I always had it with me. With Buffalo Bore 158 grain "Heavy" LSWCHP-GC ammo I felt like I had a great combo of concealment, size, weight, and knock-down power - but was not happy about the 5 round capacity!

Along came the Sig P365 and at that point I had no plastic guns. I had heard about the P365's issues when first released however the Company wisely and rapidly jumped on that and the issues went away. That's when I bought one.

I have never looked back!! At 17.8 ounces empty, 23.5 ounces with 11 rounds, the pistol is thin, flat, small, very reliable, low recoiling, has incredible night sights, has a terrifically smooth and short trigger pull (for a striker fired gun and much better than Glock) and is accurate beyond any reasonable needs for self defense. At 50 feet I can easily keep the 11 round group in a 2"- 2.5" circle in the bullseye - not vey difficult to do with that pistol.

I like the ergonomics, I like the quality of the build, I like pretty much every aspect of this Micro 9 and along with the Federal HST 124 grain 9mm ammo, I feel I've never had a better carry piece!

This is the very first and only "plastic framed pistol" I have ever owned and just can't say enough about it. There are many other great and similar pistols in the Micro Pistol arena now out there. You have the S&W, Ruger, Springfield, etc. etc. and I have looked at them in shops and at the Range, but the Sig still remains "numero uno" to me. As the expression goes...... "it's everything you want with nothing you don't. I am actually at somewhat of a loss as I can't even thing of anything that they might consider improving! For me, that's rare!!

This pistol accompanies me daily either in my Kramer Horsehide OWB leather rig or in a DeSantis Nemesis pocket holster. What a package!!! :) :) I only pray I never need to use it!

No matter how good automatics become I'll always drive a manual transmission. Same with my handguns. Self loaders are amazing..but a revolver is my carry gun. Keep it simple as possible has always worked for me.

Well, from a reliability standpoint there is some merit. Today's striker fired semi auto's are pretty darn reliable too.

Now, that said, my very first CCW/EDC gun was a 2" RB M10 that I bought brand new. After a few weeks of shooting it, the M10 began to lock up all by itself every 30 - 50 rounds or so for no apparent reason. At the time I sent it back to S&W 3 separate times and they could not find the problem. They did say it was a "bad frame", they destroyed mine and gave me a brand new one. Never had any issues with the new one.

Once in a while we do see threads here on this Forum that post Revolver lock-ups and I am not referring to the I/L either. So while not an everyday occurrence, revolvers do break, malfunction, jam as does every mechanical devise ever produced (eventually).

I suppose if one kept a statistical record, it would confirm there are probably less occurrences of revolvers malfunctioning than semi's but the gap is rapidly closing! Today's Micro 9's just seem to work.

I feel the same. Not sure what could be improved.
I went through a lot of different carry guns over the years, but since I picked one of those up, that's been the choice.
I carry "fun" things at home around the property or to my local range on Saturdays, but that's my go-to.

I've been carrying a Kimber micro9 for a couple years now. It's very light like the Sig you speak of.

My hang-up is I have to have a hammer. I grew up with the 1911 in the Navy and fell in love. I bought a Ruger P something around 1990 and very quickly grew to hate it. The trigger had a yard of slack and the break must have been 20 lbs (not really but it was very heavy).

How is the trigger on your Sig?

I have the original size and the X size. Both with the frame mounted safety.

For my hands, the X is perfect. Mine has a red dot and also the night sights (which not every version with a red dot retains.)

Both are incredibly easy to carry.

I have other holsters for them but a Galco Scout is the one that I almost always use. It’s comfortable and also incredibly easy to use.

I love my 2 1/2” and 3” revolvers, but, because the P365s are so easy to carry, I have to be in the right mood.

I carry the revolvers around my hunting club though.

The trigger on my original P365 was good out of the box, but after 500 rounds it was great. Some take up but then a good clean break. Quick and plenty tactile reset.

The trigger on the X isn’t quite as excellent, and I’m hoping it improves like the first one did. Still very good, with as good of a reset, but not quite as crisp on the break. A hell of a lot better than a Glock 43 or 43x though.

FWIW, I prefer single/double action gamer fired semi autos, but a bud and I timed ourselves with a couple vs a couple of striker fired guns. For equally accurate first shots we could not beat the striker fired guns. If we accelerated with the S/D action guns then we could not match our accuracy achieved with the striker fired guns. First shot wins = striker fired.

There are still only three guns in the running in the micro size 9mm, imo. They are the Sig P365s, the Glocks 43s and the Springfield Hellcats. I think the Sig in original, X or XL form is the best of the bunch by a significant margin. Then the 43x, then the Hellcat either the 43 bringing up the rear. I haven’t shot a Hellcat though. Kinda chunky compared to the Sig.

My go-to is the 365X, which now also wears a 507k. The XL now has a Wilson Combat grip module, which I'm still evaluating. The original 365 rides on my ankle at work.

I've carried a number of different guns over the last 30+ years, but the 365 series just checks all the boxes. The combination of size, shootability and capacity is just about perfect.

I've shot my 365XL back to back with my duty M&P 2.0 through a number of training drills, and I'm always amazed how close it can run in speed/accuracy to the full sized gun.

I do not go out the door without my M60 3inch....however....on occasion...I have carried ..in addition...a Browning 1911-380....it has been very reliable....

The P365 is the most versatile CCW I’ve ever owned. With a standard slide and grip frame it made G42 pocket carry obsolete. With an RMR milled slide and WC grip frame it carries so much easier then a full sized pistol similarly equipped. The holster options are also near limitless.

This is the setup I use when I go out on bike rides at night. Very happy with it.

I switched from a carry rotation of my browning hi power, colt commander and a 442 to the 365. I use a crossbreed mini tuck most of the time. It’s as small as my 442,holds as many as the HP and can make 50 yard hits like the commander. I’m well north of 3000 rounds with out a malfunction. I occasionally carry the colt and the HP because why not. My only grip is the X-ray sights!I’ve had 2 sets and both are dim. So I’ll be switching them out with Dawsons

P365 is a great gun

I carry the P365 everyday. In pocket, IWB or OWB depending on my clothes choice.
I can't think of a reason not too.

Most of the time I still go with a Springfield EMP. It fits my hands really well and I have great confidence in it. On occasion I carry a custom Kimber ULtra Aegis in .38 Super. On occasion I carry a round gun, usually a Colt DS. I confess to being uneasy about the new SIG. I still hear of problems with them.

Curious if anyone has found an IWB holster in leather for the 365XL similar to the Galco V-Hawk below?

I've been looking for a while, but haven't found anything but the kydex riveted to leather types pictured in previous posts. I prefer a plain 'ol leather holster, but like the spread belt loops of this design.

I'm a big fan of the P365. I even picked up a P365X and P365XL both with the Romeo sights, but sold them after finding out they weren't my thing. I did pick up a P365XL without the red dot the other day just because I couldn't figure out a reason not to buy it :)
