Anybody have experience with the 60 gr 22lr ammunition from Aguila in the 617 4" or 6"?

I understand it has a tendency to key hole in certain firearms, generally attributed to twist rate (1 in 9" is often quoted as producing stability). Anyone that's shot it from a 617, has that been the case for you?

I have never shot it from a 617. but it does keyhole from a Model 17 and a Model 63

It was intended for suppressed use.

The cases are shorter than LR to allow a longer 60 grain projectile.

Have you shot it or observed it shot from a Model 17 and a Model 63?

SSS flies mostly sideways out of my two inch-ish Model 317. It absolutely tumbles at seven yards, but seems to not always do so at five yards. Higher velocity, esp. Aguila Interceptor, seems to stabilize better in the snub 317.

Not directly responsive to your question, but tangential. Frankly, it permanently spoiled me on SSS.
