I'm guessing this is the right forum. If not, my apologies.
I'm considering getting some Ahrend's Tacticals for my new (to me) Model 19-5 2.5". I'm told by Ahrends that the delivery time is 10 weeks. A seller on "A-Bay" claims to have over 200 pairs on hand for immediate delivery, same price, brand new.

His profile has a 100% positive rating. Anybody here ever deal with this seller?

Another longtime Gripseller customer here.
Terri's service is unequaled and you see exactly the grips you will be getting, unlike ordering direct from the factory, which is a blind deal in addition to the 10+ weeks wait.

I also bought from gripseller. Only one grip a couple months ago. Fast service and it was equivalent to some I got from Kim Ahrends directly.

Not to hijack but I was also looking on flea Bay for stocks and saw multiple sets from someone overseas. I was very skepticism despite a perfect feedback reading. User is jaruwan in Laksi Thailand.

If it's "gripseller", yes. She is excellent to deal with. I purchased two sets of maple grips through her; very prompt delivery, probably faster than from Ahrends directly.

Ditto, I have purchased from Gripseller as well. An added benefit is that the grips pictured in their EBay store are the actual grips you would be purchasing so there is an opportunity to select the color and grain pattern you prefer...

I ordered direct from Kim Arhends 9 wks ago and based on an email from him should have them in a week or so. I wanted walnut so called him and he said he had some very nice walnut now and that I wouldn't be disappointed. Also wanted his tung oil finish. The wait will soon be over and I'll have exactly what I wanted. All I've heard about Gripseller is excellent but they don't show any walnut.

Like it says at their bay store- if you dont see what you want ask.

+1 for gripseller. Not a huge fan of eBay/PayPal of course, but it sure beats sending a check and waiting.

Thank you all for the feedback. I've come to depend on Forum members for straight talk.
When practical, I like to deal directly with the source but it sounds like Terri is the real deal and it won't hurt the folks at Ahrends any. I'll pass on the ones from Thailand. No offense to them I hope.

I never asked, but it certainly looks like she's an authorized Ahrends retailer. When I asked for maple, a flavor she didn't stock at the time, she got them to me far faster than 10 weeks. Nice lady, too.

One more positive vote for Terri at Gripseller.I have bought 5 sets of Ahrends stocks from her, and the wait has never been more than a week, and I have been very pleased with what I got. You won't go wrong buying from her.

I think the rating is legit. I recently received a set of these from Thailand and they are superb. Mine were even "on sale" at $29.99 SHIPPED. They are every bit as nice as many other brands that sell for $70+. They just take about a month to get here.

The only thing to watch out for was the shoulder comes up so high on the backstrap of the sq butt K-frame grips, that a TH will not cock fully for single action. You would have to modify the grips a little. Regular hammer is okay.

+1 for Terri too. Best customer service and a quick turnaround. Very nice person with a great selection!

e-Bay Worked for Me

Hi Tom: I ordered two sets from Ahrends and am waiting ≥ 8 weeks now, but they were clear about the wait time. I also got a pair of Retro Combats in Maple for my 629 from e-Bay in < 1 week. Same quality, price, feel. Haven't mounted them yet but will soon.

This isn't a recommendation, but e-Bay worked for me. Not sure the fella I got them from is the same person you are talking about; the person I dealt with had a 100% rating and tons of S&W grips. It was a fun and fast experience that ended well.

Take care and enjoy your redressed piece,

Rachel

Another Thumbs Up for Gripseller

About two months ago I bought Ahrends Tactical Smooth for my 686 from Gripseller on the Bay. I got exactly what I ordered and it arrived in very quick time (3-4 days). I will not hesitate to order again from Terri should the need arise.

Gripseller!!!

Hi All - this is Terri, aka Gripseller on eBay. I've been reading some of the comments below. I really appreciate the good words you folks have for me as well as Ahrends.

Let me clear a couple of things up. I am an Ahrends dealer so all of the grips labeled Ahrends come directly from Kim in Iowa and are sold at the factory prices. I am not allowed to discount them. I don't stock the Tung oil grips because there are just way too many choices between the different styles and woods and that would eat up the regular inventory that I try to have on hand. As someone said below, I am always happy to order them for you or you can order them from Kim. I think the main goal is for you to be happy with them no matter where you get them.

Kim has come out with some new stains for Maple grips. I have two in stock in various styles - red stained and brown stained which is pretty dark. He also has rosewood and antique brown that I have on order and expect in about three months. An order I should receive within a couple of weeks will have a good amount of Bubinga, and a new wood, Caribbean Rosewood.

A note on Cocobolo for those of you that have not heard. Cocobolo was put on the endangered species list by CITES and can no longer be imported. Quite a shame because that was the favorite of many.

Please feel free to contact me if I can be of service to you.

Many thanks,
Terri

I just ordered my second set of grips from Terri yesterday. She'll have them in the mail today. I ordered a set of the brown stained maple that Terri referenced in her post above. They'll be going on my 327 TRR8 PC. She has a pair of red ones that looked real good too.
You won't go wrong buying from Terri.

Hi Terri,

nice to hear from you. There might be some customers from Germany to contact you - most people who try one of my S&W with Ahrends grips ask me where to get them. So I direct them to Gripseller on ebay...

best regards from Germany
Ulrich

I have bought several Ahrends she is the best. I only put Ahrends on my S&W's and Terri is the only one I buy from. Always fast great service.

Terri (gripseller) was awesome ! She sent me a couple of e-mails to answer grip questions. My Ahrends retro combats in Moradillo wood arrived in two days. Great service....great product.

Gripseller has been great, I have gotten several pairs of grips from her. Always quick delivery and just as advertised.

I have purchased two sets of Ahrends from TopGun. Received both in less than a week.
