Just out of curiosity wondering how many rounds you have put down the barrel of your Airweight ?

I bought my 637-2 new on New Years Eve 2003 and in that time put 440 rounds thru it but I'm sure guys out there have tens of thousands thru theirs !

Mine is definitely one that is carried often and shot seldom !

No idea on real numbers, but certainly over 2k. Bought January 2004.

A lot

I'm one of those folks that believe, "carried often and shot seldom", is maybe not such a good thing. I feel that the guns I carry often should be shot often too. Maybe even a lot. I feel pretty confident with my 37 airweight, but it is because I shoot it often. It was made in 1968 and has had a fairly rough life until I got it a few years back. I have put a bunch of standard pressure ammo through it with no problems. Still nice and tight, no end shake and perfect timing. No cracks under the barrel. I'd say if it was gonna mess up, it would have. Keep it clean as possible and forget about the round count and shoot it a lot and hone your skills with it, then carry it often. I don't own a safe queen. I shoot my carry guns regularly and carry on. Probably put a coupe of thousand rounds through this since I've had it.
Peace,
Gordon
I did replace the bolt because the thumb piece shaft pulled out and the ejector rod as it was bent a little. Other than that, no problems at all.

50 +/- a month since the early 80's.

I'll wear out long before my M38's.

I have an early Airweight (1956) that I've had for 15 years and I've prob out 500 rounds or so thru it (standard pressure), but in it's life between 1956-2000 it saw a LOT of use and it's still going strong save some cosmetic issues.
