Aliens?

Mathematically, there has to be 'life' somewhere else in the Universe. Has any of it traveled here to 'observe' us? No one knows; but since all of our TV and Radio transmissions also travel into outer space, do you think any intelligent life would give us the time of day? ............ Big Cholla

When God created the Universe, he created untold numbers of peaceful planets. As a joke, he put the warlike humanoid trash on one called Earth. He thought that had a nicer ring to it than "Reject Dump".

I'm with the mathmatical probability. Yes there is a high chance that there is a lot more than "one" earth. Next time you are out at night away from the city lights, look at the Milky Way. The distance (math) is the issue until someone invents a warp drive. I can only immage what science will present us in the next 100 years. My grandfather came to America on a sailing ship in 1883 and lived until 1961, the atomic age. If we don't kill each other it should be a h'll of a ride.

I do believe there has got to be thousands of planets in the "sweet spot" in their solar system. Like we are to our sun. Just the right distance, not too close...not too far.
Then hopefully theres the proper mix of gases and enough water to support life.

The universe is so vast there has to be LIFE someplace.

And that Roswell NM stuff...My old Flight Surgeon from my Army Aviation days...His Dad was the Intel Officer at Roswell when the Roswell incident took place. i'm a believer after speaking to him.

This planet is teeming with life and has been for a billion years or more and despite the catastrophic events of the past wiping out vast numbers of living things there is still life.
Would we recognize an alien form of life? Possibly, we could also overlook it, too. The environmental conditions an alien life form evolved into would be so different from the conditions here on Earth that we may not see it as a life form. Even given an identical environment the evolutionary path could be quite different.
I have to say that the Universe teems with life just as our little dust ball does.

Well said. Just the mathematical probability is beyond comprehension.

Certainly there must be other forms of life. The problem with most of us humans is we only think in terms of what we know and see. Maybe all life is not carbon based. Could be Silicon based like the "Hortas;)"

Yes I think they do exist...

But since the closest Star is 6 light years away [light travels at @ 186,324 miles a second], and I do not really think that it is possible to travel faster than light, the chances of visiting other Star Systems is pretty slim.

But, one thing to consider, at least in the History of Earth, ANYTIME a more advanced "People" has contact with a less advanced "people", the more advanced has Conquered the lessor...

SO if Aliens from Outer Space do come here, we are in trouble...

To get the answer to "can they travel here" consult a true researcher in physics.

Of course, "They" already know the answer. (read that any way you wish).

I've always thought that city people have no business spending nights in the country. They are so completely out of their element that even the common becomes alien to them.

I've seen a lot of strange and rude critters around. After long and studious research, I have concluded most are just Yankees.
I can buy UFOs in the 40s, but after we started pumping 'I Love Lucy' into space? Nothing coming here. Unless they want to poke sticks at the dummies.
Walmart after midnight. I've see stranger things driving BMWs!

Why would Americans, Australians and Japanese want to visit headhunters in New Guinea?

Maybe they're not here to "visit" US.

Uh-Oh!
Are we gonna get 'probed'?

Hope they grab Caj first...
:D

I am sure they do exist, but then again I suffer neither the insecurities nor conceit that afflict so many on this rock.

I'm still standing by my original opinion, which surprisingly seems to be the majority so far on this thread. (they exist, but aren't visiting us). Again with that said, anybody up to snuff on the recent UFO sightings in New York City?
