I love mine and it's in my pocket every day. I know it's not the first choice for a carry and I have other guns that I carry, but as far as part of my every day pocket clutter, it's always there along with my Swiss Army Knife tinkerer, cell phone etc.

I carry one in .22 Mag frequently. I don't feel any more undergunned than when I carry a pocket .380 and it's a lot easier to carry.

mini

I carry one every day as a bug, could be very handy if knocked down and a bg sitting on your chest---I call it my little socktucker as thats where it rides in its little holster :)

Mine are by North American Arms.

My Black Widow (small sights and grips) is the meanest SOB it's size on the planet. 5 CCI TNT's in it that expand to over .32" and penetrate between 7 3/4" and 9 1/2" in Perma-Gel. Accurate as hell, shoots dead nuts to point of aim and surprisingly fast in practiced hands. It goes everywhere with me in my strong side front pocket. It's duct tape/hobo holster has a little pocket that I keep my spare house and car key in. I call it my american express card.

When I'm wearing pants with shallow pockets, I carry a 1 1/8" .22 lr. mini.

They aren't the best weapon, but they are better than nothing. IMO no carry line up is complete without one. At the same time, no one should ever carry one as a primary if something bigger is doable.

I have one that I have carried around and shot a bunch. I decided it is the most dangerous thing I could carry. I am afraid if I tried to shoot someone with it they would pull a knife or a real gun and kill me. I keep it as one of the reminders of my dumb and misspent youth. Larry :D

Freedom .22 Mini Revolver

Hi:
Years ago a Salesman attended a "Ladies Tea" group that my Mother-In-Law belonged to. After His "Sales Talk" every Lady purchased a Mini in .22 Mag w/ rosewood grips. The Minis came with a felt covered hard case, and a small leather holster. Thus a large portion of elderly ladies in our area became "Pistol Packing Mommies".

You could sell your mistake to me and I will help you forget your youthful foolishness. IMO, these little gems are a very useful item. I wish they made one in .32.

I agree to everything said here.

North American Arms has a large range of these little guns. American made, lifetime guaranty, deep conceal guns. Littlest one is less than 4" long and 4 oz. Won't take down a charging Rhino, but I wouldn't want to be shot by one.

Caj, check out their web site. They have some good looking guns, relatively inexpensive.

I have one in .22 mag. I can't hit anything with it beyond a few feet. I carry it as a BUG to a BUG sometimes. its better than nothing...I guess. A sharp stick or good rock might be better but they don't fit in a pocket too well. Its more of a little bit of comfort when I just can't have anything more effective such as a large Bowie knife.

Unless you feel the need to run around in just a pair of speedos, I have never seen the need for a gun smaller than my airweight j-frame.

I've looked at them and they are rather interesting, but the Micro Eagle I just bought fills the space better as it's literally the size of an old .25 but is a .380

of course if I just carry the ME then one of these would make a nice back up.......

You guys are bad,I got the ME as back up to my 686 and as an "all the time" pistol but now I see having two all the time guns would be good! :D

much bettr than a stick

I remember zipping up a young man in a bag a few years ago who prob would have wished his killer had used a stick.
that being said not my main carry but fill a niche ;)

I carried one for years while I was a LEO.. I carried it in a pouch sewed into inside of each of my uniform pants.

It was accessible only by unzipping my fly. My theory was, if I was ever taken captive by bad guys, they might miss it there in a frisk.

At some point I would tell them, I don't care what you are gonna do with me, but I gotta piss!! That seems to be one chore that most guys do not care to observe closely nor to lend assistance.

I figured if I could get it and palm it, I might have an opportunity when finished with my "chores" to stick it in the BG's eye or ear and maybe give him a sufficient headache to distract him long enough for me to get his gun.

Fortunately I never had need to see if my "plan" would have worked.
This was back before the introduction of Seecamps and Keltecs and the likes.
I have replaced the NAA with a Seecamp, but I don't feel the need for anything more secretive than pocket carry these days.

I do feel the need to run around a pr of speedos if you really need to know-which is why I like the NA 22 mini so much. As for carry, I put it in a rolled up sock. Stuff it down the front of thw speedo and volia-men fear me and women swoon :D
PS this carry does NOT work as well in the back.

Trust me, Sip, if my 225lb, hairy all over body in a pair of Speedos don't send them running and screaming, a .22 derringer isn't going to have any effect either.

I have an Amer. Arms 22mag I always have in my pocket. I feel its better than a knife, because I dont want want someone of danger at knife length . I call it my pocket protector.

I found the original grips on my 22 Mag to be to hard to get
a-hold of, as getting a proper hold slowed down presentaion. Didn't
like to carry that way, until I tried the Over-sized Rosewood and the Over-sized rubber grips. The rubber grips are a little smaller than
the wood grips, but afford an immediate, positive grip. I'm no
longer doubtful about carrying, grip gives better control, about
100% better. Still takes up very little room. TACC1

Rubber grips are way better. Total control, does'nt print either.

I used to carry one of the little FA 4-shot minis in a wallet holster I made, back when I was more worried about printing than I now am. I've compared them to the NAAs, and while the NAA is a solid gun, the Freedom Arms is in a whole different class, with respect to quality. As some have said, a .22 mag. beats praying and begging for mercy. The little guns are amazingly accurate, once one learns how to manage them. The offside thumb can be placed along the backstrap, effectively acting as a grip adapter. Once, on a whim, while plinking with my father, I decided to try hitting a 5-gallon can at 100 yards with it. Connected 3 for 4, first cylinderful I tried. That surprised me.
