What do you find is the most consistent grouping FMJ and JHP ammo for .357 SIG? (I'm not necessarily looking for the hottest round.)

I just ordered the S&W OEM .357 Barrel from Midway for my M&P .40. But I've never shot the caliber before.

Personally I would stay with the slower and heavier 40 for self defense or CC. Either way just purchase Federal HSTs and don't look back. About $25 per box of 50 at SGammo

The 124 gr bullet works well for me in my 357 sigs . I reload so ammo is not a problem . It's not a difficult cartridge to reload , contrary to what you might read . I did find that the S&W barrel needed bullets sized .356 where my sig P320 shot .355 perfectly . If I decided to shoot cast out of the S&W I would size .357 . I much prefer the 357 sig over 9mm or 40 S&W .

For practice ammo, I like Wisconsin Cartridge company, Parabellum Research, Highland lakes, HSM (Hunting Shack Munitions), Northern Hills precision and several others.

For JHP, there are many - Gold Dots, HST, Winchesters bonded JHP's

Here is a link that will take you to some good links:

I get the best accuracy from my Glock 27 and Glock 22 (Both converted to 357 Sig) with 124-125 gr hollow points. Best brand is Sig Sauer brand, gives me about 1" to 1.5" at 7 yards. All brands seem to be in the 1" to 3" area at 7-10 yards. I have the Lone Wolf/Alpha Wolf barrels on my G22 and Storm Lake on my G27 (which is my EDC).

BTW: I LIKE the caliber!

Groo here
I have a "few" 357sig's.[all but one of my 40's is converted]
The sig is more accurate than a 40 in most cases.
As it is similar to the Great 357 125gr jhp, it works.
For a target , range, woods load I would choose
a heavy bullet, 140 to 150 range.
S&B has a 140 fmj that shot well, there are various 147gr loadings
in hp and fmj.
