I found some .45 ammo. Label said Plated 230 grn. police cartridge. These came in a 50 pack box. Made in Missoula Mt. What does plated mean and is it worth buying at 15.00 a box? Is this a range round for Law Enforcement?

Thanks

Rather than having a formed jacket a plated round is electrically coated with copper. Electro plated. This makes the bullet safer for use at indoor ranges. It reduces the possibility of airborn lead particles. At $15 a box it sounds like a good deal. Bruce

Thanks Bruce...I will go pick them up this morning.
