Ammo: What does the 15-22 like?

Unhappily, my local range now forbids .22s on their metal plates (!), so there's not much entertaining to shoot (they don't like PCCs either, go figure). So it sits in the safe.
BTW, ran a Geissele SSA in mine.

Would please explain as to why this is.
The ONLY thing you can not shoot at me private gun club is a .50 cal BMG round. All else is fair game.

It's as big a mystery to me. Part of the issue is pure 'Fuddism', with PCCs 'looking too much like machine guns', which have a 'bad reputation'. I guess the concern with .22s might be splash back, but it's not clear why that is a bigger issue with .22s.
Clubs have rules for odd reasons. Our indoor Club has banned shotguns, because some high speed/low drag guy was convinced he could empty his shottie quicker than anyone. He could, but he blasted all kinds of things in the range in the process.
